Today AmEx added a sentence in the terms for all its credit cards, see this page for example:
We may also consider the number of American Express Cards you have opened and closed as well as other factors in making a decision on your welcome offer eligibility.
We are not sure how serious AmEx is, but this is definitely not good news. Let’s hope this is just a meaningless legal term and doesn’t have any real effects! Data points are welcomed!
